Patient sought treatment from Navy Dentistry Clinic of Rio de Janeiro to restore tooth 16, endodontically treated. The tooth presented with a provisional restoration.

Clinical Protocol

Pre-operative view

Rubber dam placement;
Temporary restoration removal

Measuring the depth of preparation with millimetric probe, showing 7mm of depth

Prophylaxis with a pumice and water paste;
Bonding procedures using a two-step total-etch system (DENTSPLY Caulk XP Bond) according to manufacturer's instructions;
Insertion and positioning of the wedge and the matrix;
SureFil® SDR® flow material insertion in a single increment of 4mm;

40 seconds light activation with LED unit;
Restoration conclusion with a micro-hybrid composite;
Occlusal adjustment, finishing and polishing procedures
